Training organized for Drug Addiction Treatment Professionals

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) has organized a five day long training for the drug addiction treatment professionals, including doctors, counselors, managers and other professionals from different hospitals, drug treatment and rehabilitation centers. The training was held on Universal Treatment Curriculum-3 “Common Co-Occurring Mental and Medical Disorders – an Overview for Addiction Professionals” and Curriculum-7 “Crisis Intervention for Addiction Professionals”. The training was start from 23 April, Tuesday and closing ceremony was held on 28 April 2019, Sunday at Dhaka Ahsania Mission, Health Sector Training room.

The specialized trainers provided training on various topics of those two curriculums and Md. Amir Hossain, International Addiction Professional (ICAP-1) and Clinical Psychologist was conducted the whole training. Dhaka Ahsania Mission is the first ICCE approved Non Govt. Organization in Bangladesh who is working as education provider in drug addiction treatment & prevention field. International Center for Credentialing and Education of Addiction Professionals (ICCE)) of Colombo Plan has recognized Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) for enhancing the capacity of professionals in drug treatment. The experiential activities aim to enhance the skills and build up the confidence of Treatment Practitioners in the delivery of quality care and services that could be help to improve treatment outcomes.
