Skill Development Training on Handicraft (Jute) started at Kashimpur Central Jail-2
An inaugural ceremony of handicraft (jute) training was arranged at Kashipur Central Jail-2 on 3rd May 2017. Due to absence of Jail Super Jailor Md. Anwar Hossain inaugurated the training through a formal session as Chief Guest. The total participants were 24 and all of them were convicted. Jail authority nominated the participants for the training. There are 25 sessions in the training (two hour daily and five days in a week). Among other Deputy Jailor Md. Abul Hossain, Ferdous Mia and Muhammad Masud Hossain, Md. Abu Hasan Mandal-Counselor of IRSOP Project and trainer Mahammad Masudul Hoque were also presented there. Trainer Mahammad Masudul Hoque articulated the training schedule and market demand of the jute products. The program was facilitated by Md. Anwar Hossain, Rehabilitation Supervisor cum Counselor. The Chief Guest expresses that, “Now a day’s the demand of jute product is increasing in our country. Government of the Bangladesh has taken time demand initiative to promote jute and jute products. But, crisis of skilled manpower is exists in this field. Some skilled manpower will developed through this training. He expressed his sincere gratitude to GIZ & Dhaka Ahsania Mission for providing support for skill development training inside the prison.
