Executive Magistrate had fined Abul Khayer Tobacco Company tk.200,000/ (Two Lac) for violating TC Law on 25 July’2017, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Zonal Executive Officer of Zone -5 (Deputy Secretary) and Executive Magistrate Mr. S.M. Ajior Rahman had raided the depot of Abul Khayer Tobacco Company at Jafrabad, Mohammedpur, Dhaka and seized a significant quantity of promotional materials like glass-745 pcs, plate-677 pcs, Bowl-194 pcs, Bucket-296 pcs, hot pot-89 pcs, umbrella-283 pcs, pressure cooker-04 pcs, flask-14 pcs, LED TV-03 nos, water filter-05 nos and destroyed these materials. For this the Executive Magistrate had fined Abul Khayer Tobacco Company tk.200,000/ (Two Lac) for violating TC Law (section-5 regarding TAPS ban). Umme Jannat, Campaign Officer, Audut Rahman Imon, Project Officer and Masud Rana, Advocacy Officer of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Tobacco Control Program were present there during the mobile court operation.
