Free Medical Camp in IUBAT Campus.
On 14 November, a free medical camp & anti- drug seminar was organized with the presence of the students and teachers of International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) at their Uttara campus. IUBAT, Ahsania Mission Female Drug Treatment & Rehabilitation Center and Lions Club of Dhaka Oasis jointly organized this free medical camp and anti-drug seminar.Free health services were provided to 286 students including teachers and other people of the university area. The Physicians of Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project (UPHCSDP) of Dhaka Ahsania Mission provided the free health services. This medical camp was continued from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm.
After that, an anti-drug seminar was organized. Director General, Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) Md. Jamal Uddin Ahmed was the Chief Guest and the seminar was presided by IUBAT Register Professor Dr. M A Jabbar. On the other hand, Deputy Director of Dhaka Metro Sub-area of DNC Mukul Joty Chakma and Dhaka Metro Sub-area of DNC (Dhaka North) Assistant Director Mohammad Khorshid Alam was presented as Special Gust in the seminar. DAM Health Sector Head Iqbal Masud was delivered his speech as honorable guest. The seminar was started with the national anthem and welcome speech by Dr. Karen Lund, Senior Advisor of IUBAT College of Nursing. After that 02 power point presentations on DAM UPHCSDP Project’s services and the harmful effects of drug addiction were presented by UPHCSDP Program Manager Mahfida Dina Rubiya and Ahsania Mission Female Drug Treatment & Rehabilitation Center’s Counselor Abida Sultana. An open discussion was also held and the students were took active participation in the open discussion.
