Family role stressed to keep children away from drug

Speakers said stressed upon the family role to keep children away from drug. They said, family is the first and key component for framing the children in right-way and then society. Those children who have already been addicted they should have to be brought under the fold of treatment.
Speakers said this while addressing at a seminar on 6 February 2016  at the conference room of Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM).
They also said,children who stay with the drug addicted family, most of the cases they become addicted.

Moreover, they emphasized on the strong family bondage for anti drug children.

 

Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Nasima Begum ndc was present in the seminar as chief guest while Gazi Md Nurul Kabir, director general of social welfare department and

DAM Pre sident Kazi Rafiqul Alam were present as special guests on the occasion.
At the end of the seminar a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)  was signed between DNC and DAM for providing free treatment support to Child drug users by the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) and counseling and rehabilitation services will be provided by DAM.

Director General (DG) of DNC Khandaker Rakibur Rahman presided over the seminar. Additional DG of DNC Md. Amir Hossain delivered the welcome

address. Country Coordinator of KHN-Bangladesh Maruf Mamtaj Rumi presented the key-note paper. Joint Secretary of Street Children Activists Network, Bangladesh Md. Moniruzzaman, Counselor of Addiction Management and Integrated Care (AMIC) Zannatul Ferdous and Chief Consultant of Central Drug Addict Treatment &Rehabilitation Center Dr. Syed Imamul Hossain took part in the discussion.
