Data Collection Training on Big Tobacco: Tiny Targets

As part of Big Tobacco, Tiny Targets Bangladesh Country plan Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) organized the partners’ outreach meeting and training on Data collection with the assistance of Campaign for Tobacco Free Kids (CTFK). Partners outreach meeting was held on 29 November 2017 at Head Office of DAM Health Sector (House # 152 KA, Block-A, Road-06, PC Culture Housing Society, Mohammedpur, Dhaka-1207). Among other, Executive Director of ACD and representative from YPSA, Progga, National Heart Foundation, UBINIG, CTFK Grants Manager for Bangladesh Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Bhuiyan, CTFK Program Officer Mr. Ataur Rahman Masud were present in the meeting. Objectives of Tiny targets data collection, Tiny Targets Bangladesh country Plan, list of schools and playground were shared and detailed discussion was held on these.
On the other hand, training on data collection was held on 30 November 2017 at the same venue. Mr. Iqbal Masud, Head, Health Sector of DAM, Mr. Ataur Rahman Masud, Program Officer of CTFK, Bangladesh and Assistant Director and Project Coordinator of DAM Tobacco Control Program Md. Mukhlesur Rahman conducted the training session. CTFK Grants Manager for Bangladesh Dr. Mahfuzur Rahman Bhuiyan was also present in the training. As part of training the participants practiced on data collection in their smart phone through using the apps. The participants also practice data collection in the field (around schools and playgrounds) through divided into groups. Representative from ACD, YPSA, UBINIG, National Heart Foundation & DAM tobacco control team members were participated in the training.
